Bharath Srinivasan is a Kollywood actor. He was born in Trichi but later moved to Chennai when he was one month old since his dad got a job here. His mother tongue is Tamil. A trained dancer by profession (joined Swingers International Dance club when he was 11 years old), his luck brought him into movies.
He debuted in Boys directed by S. Shankar. The film was a musical hit and it fared well in box-office. He entered into the film industry when he was doing is graduation in the New college in Chennai. He then acted in the remake of the Malayalam film 4 the people, 4 Students which was a musical hit and a blockbuster in Kerala. One of his recent movies Kaadhal directed by Balaji Sakthivel and produced by Shankar was a blockbuster of the year.
Kaadhal was well received everywhere and his performance as the naive but sweet lover was highly praised. His film Pattiyal, brought him even more great recognition for playing a dumb and deaf lover. His latest releases are Chennai Kadhal and Veyil both released on December 8, 2006.
He has received great accolades for Veyyil and the film was declared as a hit. He was also a part of Mani Ratnams stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. Recently, his Pazhani with director Perarasu and Nepali directed by Dhurai were released.Bharaths next movie is Seval releasing on October 28, 2008 for deepavali. There are talks regarding Bharath in the tamil version of Jab We Met.
His next project is Killadi directed by Salem A. Chandrasekharan. Bharaths forthcoming Tamil release Killadi is going to be dubbed in Telugu too.His movie Veyil has been selected for screening in the ’Tous les Cinemas du Monde’ (All the Cinemas of the World) section at Cannes Film Festival. The movie was screened at 6.30 pm on May 19.He has now turned down the movie Manavar Dhinam.He was born in a middle-class family. His father, Srinivasan, is in the Computer Field and his mother, Lakshmi, is a housewife. He also has a younger sister. Bharath did his schooling from DAV.

Abhirami (pronunciation) (born Divya Gopikumar) is an Indian actress and television host. She has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Her career, which started in 1995, was interrupted in 2004 when she settled in the United States for her studies. She made a comeback in 2013.

Early life and education[edit]

Abhirami was born as Divya to Gopikumar and Pushpa[1][2] in Kerala. She grew up there as her parents were both bank officials settled in Trivandrum. She did her primary education from Christ Nagar English High School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Trivandrum and predegree from Mar Ivanios College. She graduated in Psychology and Communications from the College of Wooster in Ohio.[3]

Her family migrated to the United States when she got a job there. Her parents are currently yoga instructors in Ohio.[4]

Career[edit]

Abhirami acted for the first time in director Adoor Gopalakrishnan's film Kathapurushan.[5] While in college, Abhirami worked as a TV anchor for the program Top Ten which aired on Asianet Channel,[2] which according to Abhirami was 'quite popular' and got her a film offer.[5] She also appeared in the 100-episode Malayalam serial Akshaya Pathram (Malayalam: അക്ഷയപാത്രം), directed by Sreekumaran Thampi.[5] She changed her screen name to Abhirami, the character name of the heroine of the film Guna, being 'obsessed with the role and the name'.[6]

She acted in a small role in the Malayalam film Pathram in 1999 and in the series Mercara directed by Jude Attipetty. Later she acted in films such as Millennium Stars, Njangal Santhushtaranu, and Sradha before shifting to Tamil cinema. Her first Tamil film was Vaanavil (2001) opposite Arjun, which was a 'big hit' [2] and was followed by films including Middle Class Madhavan and Samudhiram. A notable film in her career was Virumaandi, in which she appeared as a Tamil village girl from Madurai opposite Kamal Hassan.[1] Besides Tamil and Malayalam, she has appeared in Telugu and Kannada films and was a notable Tollywood actress.[7] In 2003, she appeared opposite Upendra in the film Raktha Kanneeru[8] and opposite Shivrajkumar in Sri Ram. In 2004 she retired from the film industry and settled in the United States for her studies. She went on to work as the marketing director of an MNC there.[9]

In 2013, Abhirami was the voice of Pooja Kumar in both parts of Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam[10] and she went on to host Rishimoolam, a talk show on the Tamil television channel Puthuyugam.[3][11] The following year, she made her comeback in Malayalam films with Apothecary,[12] in which she played the role of a gynaecologist.[13] She has also acted in the film Ithu Thaanda Police in which she played the role of a Sub-Inspector named Arundhati Varma.

She has also anchored a reality show on Mazhavil Manorama titled Made For Each Other. She also dubbed for Pooja Kumar in Uthama Villain.
